Why allow technology companies to collect, analyse, predict cognition and behaviour, train AI and sell your data when it is so easy to say NO!?

Most smartphones are equipped with 10+ hardware sensors that constantly even when the device is in airplane mode or switched off, collect data from the environment (e.g. magnetometer, pedometer, light sensor, proximity sensor, humidity sensor, GPS, gyroscope, temperature, microphone, cameras...).

Big Tech collects, aggregates and stores all this huge mass of 'Big Data' at different touchpoints, creating profiles, identifying, analysing patterns and predicting behaviour and cognition.

Flagging and identifying millions of people so deeply has always been an omen of great problems for freedom, so at least history teaches us.

Have you ever wondered: what if the data collector hands it over to my government? What if all of a sudden things were to change and my government turned against me? How far back could they go in my personal history? What information do they have in their possession?

The good news is that you don't have to tolerate this. The alternative is there and always has been.... avoid carrying around or using a smartphone.

There are dozens and dozens of models out there that allow for easy battery removal (in seconds), so as to ensure that the device is truly OFF in circumstances that require more privacy. The Fairphone is one example, the LG G5 another.

Consider the physical removal of the microphone
